Goonerism is the Immune System of a Failing Gacha Game

This is just like Goonerism. It's an attempt to ignore or gloss over the problems in the gaming industry or in game development by finding a scapegoat or distraction.

Fascism is the immune system of Capitalism. When the contradictions of Capitalism starts causing massive social unrest, fascism arise and try to keep the profit margins rolling for the billionaire classes.

And Goonerism is the immune system of a failing Gacha Game. When gameplay becomes bad and pull rates become shamelessly predatory, instead of improving the game and harming their record profits, they double-down on the hot waifus, the fanservice, the goon-baits.

The parallels are more direct, nay, perhaps even part of the same spectrum of phenomena. Recently, many gamer devs are also dipping their toes into fascism. They're jumping on the anti-woke/DEI bandwagon pretty hard to try and virtue signal to the GamerGate clowns.
