First of all, don't confuse dumbfuck American liberals for Leftists. We have standards, bro.
I love nothing more than no government and only freedom of association and mutual aid. The ultimate goal of every leftist movement has always been exactly this: No Gods, No Kings, Only Man. Unfortunately, leftism doesn't exist in the USA, they were all killed off decades ago by a repressive State Terror apparatus.
The people would love nothing more than to be left alone. But those in power can't leave them alone.
Why is it that the people must be the ones to pay for corporate subsidies that Elon Musk and pals so enjoy?
Why is it the people that is dying in all the wars to enrich the pocket of oligarchs?
Why is it the people that suffers the risks of climate change and pollution due to the industrial activities of corporations?
Why indeed, are the people who wish to simply exist in peace are now systematically being criminalized just for existing?
Why does Project 2025 advocate an ideology of mass censorship, digital book burning, and labelling anyone they don't like as communists or criminals?
Freedom isn't a slogan some fascist dipshit brings out to explain why somebody needed to be rounded up and put in a concentration camp. Freedom is a way of life.
“We have nothing but our freedom. We have nothing to give you but your own freedom. We have no law but the single principle of mutual aid between individuals. We have no government but the single principle of free association. We have no states, no nations, no presidents, no premiers, no chiefs, no generals, no bosses, no bankers, no landlords, no wages, no charity, no police, no soldiers, no wars. Nor do we have much else. We are sharers, not owners. We are not prosperous. None of us is rich. None of us is powerful. If it is Anarres you want, if it is the future you seek, then I tell you that you must come to it with empty hands. You must come to it alone, and naked, as the child comes into the world, into his future, without any past, without any property, wholly dependent on other people for his life. You cannot take what you have not given, and you must give yourself. You cannot buy the Revolution. You cannot make the Revolution. You can only be the Revolution. It is in your spirit, or it is nowhere.”
― Ursula K. Le Guin, The Dispossessed: An Ambiguous Utopia
All we wanted was to be left alone. It's exclusively the left that keeps arguing for shared federal institutions and limiting freedom of association.
